Facilities: Willingdon Care Centre (Burnaby) and Shaughnessy Seniors Community (Port Coquitlam)
Position Details: Full-Time
Schedule: Willingdon (Monday) and Shaughnessy (Tuesday - Friday)
Salary: Starting at $35.00 - $37.00 per hour based on experience

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Support Services Manager will oversee the daily operations of support services within our long-term care home. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating services that enhance resident care and facility efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
  • Previous experience in a management role within food service, healthcare or long-term care setting.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in long-term care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the support services team, including cooks, dietary, housekeeping and laundry staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and facility policies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service delivery and resident satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets and resources for support services, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Collaborate with nursing and care teams to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
  • Conduct training and development programs for support services staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence.
