NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Our community locations includes 3 Ambulance Stations, Decontamination Unit, 12 Health Centres and 8 resource centres with approximately 360 staff.
This role will undertake the Supervision of staff cleaning patient areas, clinical and non-clinical departments, offices and administration areas to comply with NHS national standards of cleanliness, mop laundering and porter/messenger services within the health care environment.
Responsibilities will include for example, allocating staff resources, auditing of services, input payroll information, plan and carry out staff training, liaise with service users and department leads. This is a working supervisor role were carrying out of cleaning tasks is included in the role.
As part of the role you will have contact with patients and service users so good communication skills are essential!.
You must have right to work in UK for the duration of your employment and be able to provide at least two references from current or most previous employment covering the last 3 years. Applications without this information will not be considered for shortlisting.
