Our Logan Home and Community service are seeking multiple Permanent Part-time Domestic Support Workers. This is a vital role within our community services and is an excellent starting position for a career in this area. We are looking for compassionate people to provide invaluable support to our clients around their homes with general household cleaning, laundry, cooking and social support. Pay-rate: $32.65-$37.33/hr depending on experience Shift timings will be between Mon-Fri 7am - 6pm. No weekends. Minimum 3 days availability is required. Service areas include: Algester, Beaudesert, Boronia Heights, Boyland, Brown Plains, Calamvale, Cedar Grove, Chambers Falt, Crestmead, Doolandella, Logan Reserve, Drewvale, Durack, Ellen Grove, Forestdale, Forest Lake, Gleneagle, Greenbank, Heathwood, Heritage park, Hill Crest, Inala, Jimboomba, Larapinta, Lyons, Marsden, Mundoolun, Munruben, New Beith, North MClean, Pallara, Park Ridge, Park Ridge South, Parkinson, Regents Park, Richlands, South Mclean, Stretton, Stocklegh, Wacol   About you: * Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team and contribute to a positive,  client-focused culture.  * Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively and sensitively with a  range of clients, including those with challenging behaviours, or clients from culturally and  linguistically diverse backgrounds.  * Ability to organise and prioritise own work activities and schedules to meet established deadlines  and achieve high quality work outcomes.  * Sound verbal and written communication abilities, including the ability to interpret and apply  instructions, read and navigate road maps, and communicate clearly and professionally with both  clients and staff.  * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals in  a home environment.  * Knowledge and skills of safe food handling and preparation in line with current health standards.  Requirements: * Valid Aged Care Worker Screening Check:  o Current National Police Check OR  o Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.  NB: NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is mandatory for Services/Facilities delivering services to NDIS clients.  o Statutory Declaration if you have been a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than Australia after turning 16.  * Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle  * Certificate II or III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) or relevant – desirable  * Anglicare strongly encourages you to stay up to date with the immunisations recommended for your role, as outlined in our Worker’s Immunisation Procedure.
