Description The Support Tech will be responsible for supporting the Blast and Brake Forming areas. This role will provide safe and timely movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout the production plant floor to support maximized efficiency and reduce downtime for machine operators. This role requires safety. first mindset, with strict adherence to all safety protocols and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. The Support Technician demonstrates strong ownership mentality, taking full responsibility for their work area, anticipating team needs, and contributing to continuous improvement and overall production flow. Schedule: Monday to Friday 2:30PM to 12AM | With some Saturdays 11AM to 3:30PM Location: This position is 100% onsite at our Bay St. Louis, MS location. Responsibilities Deliver raw materials and components to Blast and Brake forming operators as needed Remove finished or processed materials from workstations and relocate to the appropriate areas Transport work sections between staging areas and active workstations Organize and maintain staging areas with clear job number identification Clean and clear workstations of debris, preparing them for the next cycle or process Ability to read and understand work orders, production tags, labels, and basic schematics Qualifications High School Diploma/GED,?Required Prior experience in a material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing support role, Preferred Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification, Required Basic math and inventory skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Performance Metrics Attendance & Punctuality: Maintain 97% attendance rate with minimal tardiness. Teamwork & Communication: Receive positive feedback from team leaders or operators on responsiveness and attitude. Continuous Improvement Participation: Actively contribute at least one improvement idea per quarter. Safety Compliance: Zero safety violations or incidents; full adherence to PPE and safety protocol. Work Environment and Physical Demands This is an FLSA Non-Exempt position and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state labor laws. This position is classified as non-exempt based on job duties that do not meet the exemption criteria outlined by the FLSA. Standard workweek is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week; overtime may be required, including evenings or weekends, based on production demands. Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to moving machinery, dust, and industrial noise Noise levels range from moderate to high; hearing protection may be required in designated areas May be exposed to varying temperatures depending on the season and production processes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and hearing protection as applicable Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift) Regularly required to lift and/or move materials up to 50 pounds; team lifts used for heavier loads Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting to handle materials or access equipment Repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions may be required depending on the task Frequent use of material handling equipment such as carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if certified) Must have the visual acuity to inspect materials and read job orders, labels, and production instructions
