JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and promoting their independence. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer’s care.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience in group homes, nursing homes, or assisted living settings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with home health care practices and hospice care is a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques and patient monitoring practices.
  • Ability to create and follow care plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide patient care and support in a respectful and compassionate manner.
  • Monitor clients’ vital signs and report any changes in health status to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
  • Assist with medication administration as per care plans and guidelines.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
  • Utilize proper techniques for heavy lifting and transferring clients using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality.
  • Document client progress and any incidents accurately in accordance with organizational policies.
