Support Worker – Mental HealthLocation: Wood Green, N22Company: Aran Homes LtdAran Homes is looking for a reliable and caring Support Worker to join our supported living service in Wood Green, supporting adults with mental health needs.The role involves providing practical and emotional support to help residents maintain their independence, develop daily living skills and work towards their individual goals.Main duties:Providing day-to-day support in line with individual support plans and risk assessments
Supporting residents with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and managing their home
Encouraging residents to be as independent as possible
Supporting residents to attend appointments, activities and access the local community
Providing emotional support and promoting positive mental health and wellbeing
Supporting with medication in line with training and company procedures
Completing daily notes, records and handovers accurately
Reporting any safeguarding, health or wellbeing concerns
Working alongside colleagues, managers and other professionals
Maintaining professional boundaries and treating residents with dignity and respect
Following company policies and procedures at all times
What we are looking for:We are looking for someone who is patient, reliable and able to communicate well with both residents and colleagues. You should be comfortable working with adults with a range of mental health needs and be able to remain calm and professional in different situations.Previous experience in mental health, supported living or social care is preferred, although applicants with relevant transferable experience will also be considered.Applicants must be willing to work flexibly as part of a rota.Successful applicants will be subject to the relevant pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
