ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability, Mental Health) or relevant experience.
  • Proven experience working with behaviours of concern and ASD Level 3 participants.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
  • National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for transporting participants.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Willingness to work across a variety of shifts including day, inactive sleepovers, and weekends.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking experienced and resilient Support Workers who are confident in supporting participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 3 with behaviours of concern. This role involves working with both adults and children, so flexibility and adaptability are essential.
You’ll be supporting participants in SIL environments and the community, helping them achieve their goals, build independence, and maintain safety and dignity in all aspects of their lives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred support to clients with ASD Level 3, Intellectual Disability, Dementia, ADHD, and psychosocial conditions.
  • Confidently manage behaviours of concern using trauma-informed and positive behaviour support approaches.
  • Deliver personal care, medication assistance, and support with daily living activities.
  • Assist with transportation, appointments, and community access.
  • Implement individualised care plans and therapy strategies.
  • Promote social inclusion and skill development.
  • Maintain accurate shift notes and documentation using QR codes and internal systems.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS standards and Elyte Alliance policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, colleagues, and allied health professionals.
