Description

This is an opportunity to work with an awesome dude in a friendly, family environment and you will need to be fun and outgoing to keep up with his great sense of humour!
We are looking for an honest, reliable, resilient, kind and caring person to work within a small care team to provide person-centred care, support and rehabilitation to a young man with highly complex needs.
Experience is not necessary, as full training will be given, and who you are is more important to us – we are looking for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference to someone else’s life.
The young man lives in a fully-adapted and accessible family house, with his own accommodation and facilities for his care team. He has cerebral palsy and needs support for all his personal care, mobility and all aspects of daily living. The young man has a fun and outgoing personality with a great sense of humour. He enjoys a wide range of activities both at home and out and about and team members have the opportunity to get involved as required to ensure that this young man has a fun-filled and fulfilling life.
The successful candidate will join the team on contracted minimum hours (additional hours available) and will work on an advance rota system with the rest of the team. The care team provide support on an advance rota system 7 days per week, with a range of shifts, depending on whether it is college term time or college holiday periods.
The young man has a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) to go out and about in, so you will need to have a manual driving licence - support and training will be given to those with no experience of driving a WAV.
