ABOUT US
Our mission is to build a better future by focusing on people with learning disabilities and their families. We strive to be a great support provider for the individuals and families that we support, our employees, our partners and funders, and the communities in which we work. We’re a Cooperative, which means putting people at the heart of our decision making and support. You can find out more about this here
In this rewarding and varied role, you’ll be working across both community settings and four supported living houses in Haverfordwest and Milford Haven, providing person-centred support to individuals with diverse interests and needs. Each day is different — one moment you might be supporting someone as they volunteer at a local project or go swimming, and the next, helping another plan a shopping trip or enjoy some quiet time fishing. You may also have the opportunity to accompany the people we support on holidays, helping to create memorable experiences and supporting them to explore new places. This is a hands-on role that involves building genuine relationships and offering consistent, practical support, including with personal care where needed. You’ll play a key role in helping people make and act on their own choices, from everyday decisions like what to have for lunch, to bigger plans such as managing money or choosing where to go on holiday.
As a trusted Support Worker, you’ll empower people to build independence and live fulfilling lives. That means supporting them with day-to-day tasks like paying bills, keeping their homes tidy, and staying in touch with friends, family, and the wider community. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role, as you’ll often be transporting the people we support to appointments, activities, or simply out for the day. You’ll need patience, compassion, and the ability to adapt to different situations — but in return, you’ll find a deeply meaningful career where every small moment makes a big difference.
