Support Worker Catering (Monday to Sunday 2pm to 7 pm Shifts; Tuesday to Friday 7am to 3pm), Calavry The Regent in Mount Waverley * Progress with purpose at one of Australia’s largest health care providers * Get ahead with salary packaging, benefits and professional development in a supportive team environment * Permanent Part-time position: located in Mount Waverley * Experience working in an Aged Care kitchen and have Food safety/ Handling certificate About the role As a Support worker - Catering you will make a difference each and every day in providing healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by our Chef. Reporting to the Chef Manager/Home Manager, you will support the Chef/ Chef Manager and your team to deliver a high quality catering service to our residents. Your main duties will include: * Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook * Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook. * Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. * Ensuring that all duties are worked in accordance with the National Food Safety Program at all times including completing food safety records and the prevention of cross contamination. * Serve nutritious meals in well-presented manner and at the appropriate temperature * Prepare trays and trolleys for each meal services as per the Calvary National Dining and Nutrition Guide. Responsibilities
