Hourly rate: £13.22 Support Worker Location: Ladysbridge/Banff Hourly Rate: £13.22 an hour Contract Type: Zero Hour Contract Drivers needed – Our service user has access to a mobility car Shift pattern: Will consist of a combination of early and late shifts, times to be confirmed Are you passionate about making a different to a person life? About the Role: We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team to cover a variety of shifts with a service user based in Ladysbridge/Banff. The successful Support Workers will support in a range of tasks such as; household tasks and maintenance of tenancy, personal care, administering medication, Preparing nutritional meals and cooking and activities. Our service user likes to complete activities such as: Walking Swimming Horse Riding Trampolining Trips in his car About Them: Our service user is a young man who has severe autism and developmental delay and at times can present self-injurious behaviours. He is Non-verbal but can communicate through pointing and gestures. He is PEG fed; ALL training will be provided (but he is gradually beginning to eat more orally) Our service user does have his own car and would require drivers as he does like to out in the car, sometimes unexpectedly. If any challenging behaviour is displayed staff must always follow the behaviour support plan to ensure both staff and service user are safe. All training will be given. Our Support Workers experience variety and a huge sense of reward and achievement in their daily activities where no two days are the same and we place huge emphasis on the fact that our customers are individuals, at Mears Supported Living we feel everyone deserves to be treated as such.
