A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary community team as a Clinical Health Care Assistant.
The post holder will have experience working with people with a learning disability, be able to manage and prioritise a caseload whilst supporting implementation of care plans to a high standard as developed by experienced clinicians including Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Dietitians and Speech and Language Therapists. The post holder will be required to work autonomously whilst demonstrating good interpersonal skills, including verbal and written.
This post requires elements of practical work – including but not limited to : teaching to maximise someone’s independence, assistance with practical health issues – supporting health appointment, provision of advice, development of accessible information. The post holder may be required to support physiotherapy which involves water-based therapy and, the successful candidate will be supported to access relevant life saver training.
The post holder will be supported to access robust supervision and relevant training opportunities.
The team covers the East of Surrey, with bases at both Redhill and Leatherhead. There will be an expectation for some travel between bases. The successful applicant will have a clean driving license and a vehicle that can be used for work purposes.
