About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, getting out into the community, and creating positive experiences.

We are looking for someone with a "yes" mindset — someone who is enthusiastic, encouraging, flexible, and willing to support the client to participate in activities and maintain an active social life.

The successful candidate will assist with social activities, community access, outings, and day-to-day activities that encourage independence, confidence, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and engaging social support to the client.
  • Support the client to participate in community activities and social outings.
  • Assist with shopping, appointments, errands, and other community activities as required.

  • Provide companionship and meaningful conversation.
  • Support the client to maintain independence and make their own choices.
  • Assist with planning and participating in enjoyable activities.
  • Encourage a positive and active approach to daily life.
  • Maintain professional boundaries while developing a positive and respectful relationship with the client.
  • Complete relevant support documentation and care notes.
  • Follow the client's care plan and Comfort Home Care policies and procedures.
  • Promote the client's dignity, choice, safety, and wellbeing at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Positive, friendly and approachable.
  • Vibrant, energetic and enthusiastic.
  • Naturally social and enjoys engaging with others.
  • Has a genuine "yes" mindset and is willing to try new activities.
  • Confident engaging in conversations and building rapport.
  • Patient, respectful and compassionate.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Comfortable supporting someone in the community.
  • Able to work independently while maintaining communication with the team.
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys helping others have a positive day.

Experience & Requirements

  • Previous experience in aged care, disability support, community support, social support, or a similar role is desirable.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent is desirable.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and/or relevant aged care screening requirements.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

What We Offer

  • Meaningful work supporting a client in their local community.
