SUPPORT WORKER

As part of our growing community team, based in hubs across Bolton, we are looking to recruit a Life Opportunities Support Worker who will deliver high quality, compassionate care and support. We are a person-centred team working to support individuals. We want people with the right values, behaviours and attitudes that match our own as an organisation.
The role requires someone who thrives on variety, enjoys a challenge, and is highly adaptable, dependent on service need, including carrying out a variety of support tasks and be active in your role. We are keen to build on the strengths of the people we support and the workforce so that we complement each other, get the best out of every day making connections, enjoying hobbies and interests.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Must have experience supporting adults within a social care setting.
• Ability to develop supportive relationships, promoting independence and wellbeing.
• Ability to use a computer and be IT literate.
• You will be highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support.
• Understand that communication is varied and comes in many forms.
• Have the ability to work in a person-centred way.

Working from a hub model we operate as a priority in making sure that we are connecting people with others, meeting new people, targeting isolation and accessing a range of social activities and achieving outcomes. This particular role would suit a person who enjoys celebrating and engaging the skills of older adults. A flexible approach in your pattern of supporting people will ensure we meet the needs of the people we support.
