Full job description

Support Worker - Disability & Mental Health

Join a values-led team making a real difference in the lives of NDIS participants. Flexible shifts, genuine career pathways, and a team that has your back.

You will provide non-clinical, practical support that helps participants live safely, confidently, and with dignity in their daily lives — across both individual and group settings.

About the Role

We have multiple part-time and casual opportunities for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Support Workers to join our teams across Caloundra, Nambour, Landsborough, Tewantin and Buderim.

You'll be working with a number of participants in their homes and out in the community, supporting them with daily routines, personal care, social engagement, and community participation. The focus is on building genuine, trusting relationships — consistency and familiarity matter deeply to our participants and their families.

Current Opportunities

  • Tewantin – We’re looking for female Support Workers with mental health and trauma-informed experience to support our participant. Shifts are available between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Caloundra – An opportunity for Support Workers with experience in cognitive decline, acquired brain injury and seizure management to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. Shifts include sleepovers from 5:00pm to 9:00am, as well as day shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm, across weekdays and weekends.
  • Nambour – We’re looking for genuine and caring Support Workers to support our clients. Experience with bipolar disorder, diabetes, seizure management, mobility support and hoisting is preferred. Shifts include sleepovers from 5:00pm to 9:00am, with morning and afternoon shifts available between 7:00am and 6:00pm.
  • Buderim – A fantastic opportunity for a female Support Worker with experience in intellectual disability and complex behaviours, with seizure management experience preferred. Shifts are available between 8:00am and 5:00pm, with sleepover shifts from 2:00pm to 9:00am.
  • Landsborough - We are looking for female Support Workers with experience supporting non-verbal participants with preferred exposure to seizure management. Shifts available from 6:30 - 6pm and sleepover shifts 4pm until 8am.

What you'll be doing

  • Personal care and daily living — hygiene support, medication assistance, manual handling, domestic tasks and meals
  • Community access — social activities, appointments, and outings
  • Emotional support, promoting independence and wellbeing, including psychosocial and mental health support
  • Supporting participants in both 1-on-1 and group settings
  • Maintaining wellbeing, structure, and stability across a 24-hour care model
  • Following care plans, maintaining records, and keeping safety front of mind

About You

  • Warm, patient and genuinely committed to supporting and empowering people
  • Reliable, consistent and love to work in both a team environment and independently
  • Committed to providing safe, consistent and person-centred support

Previous disability support experience is valued, but your attitude, reliability and alignment with our values are equally important
