Disability Support Worker – Domestic Assistance & Social Support

NurseLink Healthcare is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and person-centred Disability Support Worker to provide domestic assistance and social support to a participant in Brooman, NSW 2538.

Position Details

Location: Brooman, NSW 2538

Service Type: Domestic Assistance & Social Support

Services required:

• Domestic Assistance: Fortnightly, 2 hours per visit
• Social Support – In Home: Fortnightly, 2 hours per visit
• Social Support – Community: Every 6 weeks, 3 hours per visit

About the Role

The successful candidate will support a participant to maintain a clean and comfortable home environment, while also providing friendly companionship and meaningful social support.

Duties may include:

• General domestic assistance and household tasks
• Supporting the participant with maintaining their home
• Providing companionship and social interaction
• Supporting participation in suitable community activities and outings
• Encouraging independence, choice and confidence
• Building a respectful and positive relationship with the participant
• Providing support in accordance with the participant's individual needs and care plan

• Comfortable providing domestic assistance and social support
• Able to work independently and maintain professional boundaries
• Friendly and confident supporting community access
• Reliable with excellent communication skills
• Committed to providing high-quality support

Requirements

Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)

current Police Check required. NDIS Worker Screening Check preferred/required, depending o NDIS/disability support clearances and screening requirements, as applicable to the role.

A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle may be required for community-based support.
