JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need, assisting with daily living activities and promoting their well-being. This role requires a caring attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in care or support roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of patient care practices and principles is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
• Certification in first aid is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
• A compassionate approach towards individuals requiring support, demonstrating empathy and patience.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.

• Provide personal care and support to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
• Assist with meal preparation and dietary needs, ensuring nutritional requirements are met.
• Support children in childcare settings, fostering a safe and engaging environment.
• Aid clients in nursing home settings with daily activities, promoting independence where possible.
• Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to care plans.
• Perform first aid when necessary, responding promptly to any medical needs or emergencies.
• Assist clients with heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
