About Us

We’re Focused Health Care, a Community Services provider based in North Brisbane. We provide a range of community care and support services to people living with disability and those needing aged care support at home. Our mission is to help people stay independent, safe, and happy in their own homes for as long as possible.

We have immediate start opportunities for people whose values, behaviours, and attitude align with ours! Could this be you?

Focused Health Care is looking for compassionate individuals who share our vision and passion for caring for people in the community and supporting them to live their best lives. We are proud to live by our values of honesty, harmony, equality, and client-focus.

About the Role

We have immediate start opportunities for experienced and highly motivated Casual Support Workers to assist people living with disability and older people across the Brisbane City, North, South and Moreton Bay regions. You will be joining a great team, providing support to people in their homes and communities to live a life of their choosing, with dignity and independence.

You will assist both men and women with maintaining their independence, caring for their homes, and accessing their communities. Support will include:

  • Making and maintaining community connections
  • Managing and maintaining health needs
  • Providing personal care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
  • Scheduling and attending appointments and social events
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Transport and community access
  • Participation in recreational activities
  • Shopping and errands
  • Light cleaning and domestic duties
  • Light gardening and minor yard maintenance

About You

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Be multi-skilled and passionate about supporting people to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
  • Be a team player who understands the importance of providing reliable, consistent, exceptional care and support to vulnerable people
  • Want to work for an organisation that values your opinion and ideas, and provides opportunities for you to grow and be rewarded for your contributions
  • Uphold the rights and choices of people living with disability and people who are ageing, and deliver care and support in a compassionate, dignified, and respectful way
