Description

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to working with individuals who have complex and challenging needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with service users, families, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations and offer practical solutions to problems.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, health and safety regulations, and care standards.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with individuals in a variety of living situations and circumstances.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) is preferred.
  • Willingness to register with Social Care Wales.
  • Experience in working with individuals with complex needs, including mental health conditions, learning disabilities, alcohol and substance misuse, and those experiencing homelessness.
  • Understanding of Welsh social care regulations, including the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 and Care Inspector of Wales (CIW) standards.
