Support Worker:
The role:
Come and join the fabulous team at Good Companions - a small family company looking for great new team players. We specialise in offering a wide range of care and companionship services designed to support our service users in the comfort of their own homes. Duties include:

  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed clothes.
  • Provide Companionship so maybe going out for lunch or visiting the Garden Centre, going out for a dog walk.
  • Accompany Service Users to medical appointments.
  • Observe, monitor and record Service Users’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.
  • Encourage and support Service Users to participate in social and recreational activities - visit a local club or go swimming.
  • Assist Service Users with light personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing and eating.

Hours:
To make it fair for all staff, we all work alternative weekends.
We do also offer flexible working hour contracts if this suits people better than set weekly contracted hours.

Shift patterns:

  • Morning / lunch shifts are 7am-2/3pm
  • Afternoon / evening shifts 3/4pm-9.30pm
  • However some shifts may cover different time frames dependent on service user requirements.

Pay:
£12.50 per hour
