Job Title: Support Worker Company: Homecare Gurus Ltd Location: Various locations Pay: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour Job Description: Homecare Gurus Ltd is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide vital support to individuals in their homes or care facilities, helping them with daily activities and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with daily living: This includes helping with personal care (bathing, dressing), household tasks (cleaning, laundry), meal preparation, and budgeting. Promoting independence: Teaching life skills such as using public transport, managing finances, and participating in household duties. Health and wellbeing support: Helping individuals manage medical needs, such as administering medication and attending appointments with healthcare professionals. Social and emotional support: Providing emotional support to individuals and their families, and helping them connect with others and participate in community activities. Goal-oriented support: Working with individuals to set and achieve personal goals, whether short-term, like learning to cook a meal, or long-term, like attending college. Advocacy: Acting as an advocate for the individual, helping them express themselves and make their own choices. Prior experience as a Support Worker or in a similar healthcare role is preferred. Valid UK Driver's License Empathy and a genuine desire to help others. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Mandatory training certifications in areas such as first aid, health and safety, and safeguarding. Referral programme
