ABOUT US

ILS Case Management is the UK’s leading independent nationwide Case Management company.
When a person’s life has been changed by injury, we address the practicalities. We work with children and adults who have had moderate or catastrophic, complex injuries. We assess individual needs and are able to provide a comprehensive Case Management designed to maximise independence. We are CQC registered and compliant with their standards.
Our Case Managers work closely with our Clients, and we carry out all the recruitment processes on behalf of our Clients; and will support you, from your initial telephone interview right through to arranging employer interviews, trial shifts and placement.
If you are successfully recruited, you will be employed directly by our client or their Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection. However, ILS will manage your day to day employment, providing you with the support you need to carry out your role. Working as a Carer or Support Worker for an ILS client means that you will have a dedicated Case Manager to oversee your client’s care needs.

We have Integrity. We can be trusted to work in a professional, honest and transparent way.

Responsibilities

DAY AND EVENING ROLE

The role is to provide safe and effective care and support within the family environment and to provide Terence’s parents with reassurance that their child is receiving a high quality of care. The person employed should be highly competent and experienced in the management of epilepsy and alert to the need of when to seek further help.
Terence requires help with all activities of daily living (including personal care and administering medication) and also requires assistance to enable him to access play, learning and social activities. The role will be varied and will involve going out in the local community, either just with our client and another support worker, or accompanying the family on an outing. You will also be required to follow therapy programmes as advised by Terence’s group of therapists and carry out domestic duties as required. This job will suit someone who is calm but very proactive and able to bring lots of enthusiasm to the role.

WAKING NIGHT ROLE

Your role will be to provide safe and effective night care for Terence. The successful candidate will need to be competent and experienced in the management of Epilepsy and alert to the need of when to seek further help. You will be required to monitor Terence, keeping accurate notes of his sleep pattern including reasons for waking and actions required to settle. The role will involve providing all aspects of personal care which may include giving medication, liquids and feeds, changing pads and bed linen and preparing him for when the morning care arrives. Some client related domestic chores may also be required.
This is wonderful opportunity to join a supportive family and care team where you can make a real difference to Terence’s life by maximising his opportunities and promoting his independence wherever possible, a truly rewarding role for someone who is able to communicate effectively and an ability to work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion.
