Full job description

Individualised Community Access Services (ICAS) are seeking multiple experienced employees for our clients in Loganlea. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and about supporting our clients in their SIL house.

We are seeking those with wide availability including day, evening, sleepover shifts.

Our clients are non-verbal, non-mobile who require assistance with all aspects of their lives. This role requires the ability to work to a roster and requires experience with high intensity supports, including complex bowel care, dysphagia, epilepsy, medication, complex wound care.

The position description is prepared by the client and we are seeking multiple candidates with the following skillset:

• Provide personal care (continence, feeding and bathing) to the clients
• Preferably a mature female (client requested)
• Assist clients for all aspects of daily living.
• Experience with hoist, wheelchairs, dysphagia, medication and epilepsy is preferred, however training can be provided for the right candidate.
• Physically able to manoeuvre wheelchair and use a hoist.
• A caring, nurturing persona with plenty of patience.
• Aged Care experience may be an advantage.

Working in a team in a SIL/SDA environment, multiple positions and shift opportunities available.

Requirements -

• A passion and willingness to assist.
• CPR and First Aid (or willing to obtain).
• NDIS Worker Screening (or willing to obtain).
• Certificate III in Individual Support (minimum requirement).
• Manual Handling training
• Medication competency
• High Intensity support training
• Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.

ICAS has been providing disability support services within the Greater Brisbane region for over 25 years, with long term staff and long term clients. Pay: $38.00 – $50.00 per hour
