We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Working in the South Hams Area The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, Which could include assisted living facilities, home care, and Care Home. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to demonstrate effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
  • A valid driving licence and own Car with Business insurance is essential due to location and nature of the role.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including Mornings, evenings and weekends if required.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of support work.

Responsibilities
  • Prompt personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including Cleaning, Laundry, Meal Prep.
  • Support individuals with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
  • Assist with behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and emotional wellbeing.
  • Facilitate engaging activities that enhance social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, Assist with Getting clients out and about accessing community.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
  • Uphold the dignity and respect of clients while promoting independence in their daily routines.
