This role is being offered on a part time, permanent basis working 22.2 hours per week. You will be working on a rolling 5 week rota, Monday to Sunday between 8am and 9pm on a 4 week rolling rota. This is a scheme based role working 3 days per week. This role will be based in the Truro/Falmouth/Penryn area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver Tailored Support: Provide responsive, person-centred assistance to individuals with complex needs, helping them achieve positive outcomes and independence.
  • Foster Collaboration: Build open and trusting relationships with customers, colleagues, and partner agencies to ensure seamless and comprehensive support.
  • Promote Participation: Encourage individuals to engage in social, educational and employment opportunities, preventing isolation and promoting self-determination.
  • Manage Risks Effectively: Conduct thorough risk assessments and maintain professional boundaries, ensuring health, safety and compliance with safeguarding policies.

To be successful in your application for the role of Support Worker, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:

  • Have an understanding of support needs and support planning.
  • Have experience of risk assessing and risk management.
