The candidate will be required to provide one-to-one care to the client, within the family home and out in the community. The role requires a commitment to building an appropriate friendship and rapport with the client, providing a high standard of therapeutic support in line with relevant guidelines, and working respectfully and professionally with the client and their family. The candidate must have a clean driving licence.
Tasks will include collecting the client from college, accessing activities in the community, assisting with personal care, and adhering to guidance and care plans implemented by professionals.
The role also requires creative thinking and initiative, to engage the client in activities that will enhance their experience and promote expression and independence. The ability to remain calm, and supportive, with excellent listening skills is paramount.
Complete training, support and guidance will be provided by the case manager who will oversee the role.
