We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in various care settings.   • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment
  • Help with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure safety during transfers and repositioning
  • Monitor health status, report changes, and document care provided accurately for team review
  • Assist with specialized care for individuals with dementia, disabilities, or undergoing hospice care
  • Support clients in engaging in social activities and community outings when appropriate

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of patient care practices and caregiving techniques
  • Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or hospice care
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting clients
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Basic understanding of medication administration procedures
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed
