Description

Support Worker Required- No experience needed

Across the week I need support with the following from my support team:

  • admin and paperwork related tasks including proofreading
  • household cleaning tasks and support organising my space
  • cooking balanced meals that meet my dietary needs
  • attending and following up actions from medical appointments
  • grocery shopping and support to replace stock of other household essentials
  • prompting with time specific medication (this includes PAs being paid extra for short reminder phone calls planned and agreed in advance)
  • working within existing systems I have within my home and support to develop new ones where needed
  • supporting me in ways that allow me to focus on pregnancy and parenthood

Please note that as I’m immunocompromised I ask that all PAs take Covid and Flu vaccines that they are entitled to as soon as possible, after they become available. Also for this reason and due to current life circumstances I would prefer a non smoker.
Petrol expenses for journeys made at work will be recompensed.
A shift patterns of Thursday and Friday morning would be ideal, however I have some flexibility to agree an alternative shift pattern if these shifts don’t suit.
This job is an employed role through People Plus, with payroll paid through Possability People
I’m a neurodivergent, queer person with complex medical conditions. I live with my cousin and have a pet cat. I regularly enjoy playing table tennis, listening to audio books and like to grow vegetables and get out in nature. I am mostly plant based, and love to experiment with trying new recipes and flavours. I am passionate about a range of social justice issues. I volunteer with the autism partnership board, and have a part time community based job with a local charity.
Hours per week – 2 x 3.5 hour shifts + 4 x 15 minute phone calls
Hourly rate – £15.10
