Are you passionate about making a positive difference in a young person’s life? Positive Steps Care & Support Ltd is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate support workers to join our fantastic team. This rewarding role involves providing dedicated support to a young person, helping them access the community and meet their day-to-day needs, including PEG feeding.

REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for candidates who:
✅ Are positive, compassionate, and friendly, with a natural ability to build rapport.
✅ Have at least 6 months of experience in health and social care, ideally with knowledge of learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, or complex health needs. Transferable skills and personal experience are also welcome.
✅ Have experience or are willing to receive full training in PEG feeding.
✅ Hold a full clean driving license, as some travel may be required to facilitate activities and outings.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking individuals who can engage actively, offering support that enhances independence and ensures the young person feels valued and supported. This role is varied and fulfilling, with every day bringing new opportunities to make an impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Personal Care & PEG Feeding – Assisting with personal care routines, meal preparation, and PEG feeding to ensure comfort, nutrition, and well-being.
  • Community Access – Supporting the young person on outings, activities, and social events, helping them engage confidently with their surroundings.
  • Person-Centered Approach – Working in line with Positive Steps’ policies and the expectations of the young person and their family, fostering trust and consistency.
  • General Support – Light domestic tasks to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
