You’re not just a support worker - you’re a mentor and a friend. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Communicates effectively, both in writing and verbally, to ensure vital information is shared and recorded accurately.
  • Understands the complexities of working with young people who may display challenging behaviour, always responding with empathy and respect.
  • Is flexible and committed, ready to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Has relevant experience, ideally in a similar outreach or care setting, with a passion for supporting young people.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to reliable transport for travel between locations.
Responsibilities

This isn’t just a job - it’s a chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of young people who face unique challenges.

You’ll be:

  • Supporting young people in a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring their welfare is always your top priority.
  • Implementing care packages tailored to each individual’s needs, fostering their personal growth and independence.
  • Teaching vital life skills, from budgeting to household management, empowering them to take control of their lives.
  • Engaging effectively with young people, demonstrating understanding and patience as they develop self-control and direction.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each young person’s care.
  • Completing daily notes and reporting on your interactions, helping to track progress and plan for the future.
