Support Worker – Disability SupportJoin the KuCare Team

KuCare Pty Ltd is looking for a compassionate, patient and reliable Support Worker to provide person-centred support to a participant living with paraplegia.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

About the Role

You will provide support with:

• Personal care and activities of daily living
• Transfers, mobility and wheelchair support
• Domestic assistance and meal preparation
• Community access and participation
• Supporting established routines and individual goals
• Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable home environment
• Completing progress notes and reporting any concerns
• Be supported by Experienced Registered Nurse on your buddy shifts

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Patient, compassionate and respectful
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Comfortable providing personal care
• Able to follow participant support and manual handling plans
• Committed to promoting independence rather than doing everything for the participant
• A clear and respectful communicator
• Willing to learn and complete required training
• Able to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality

Experience supporting people with paraplegia, wheelchair users or complex physical disabilities is highly regarded, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

Essential Requirements

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• First Aid & CPR
• Relevant qualifications or experience in disability/community support
• Ability to work safely and follow manual handling procedures
• Driver's licence and reliable transport [if required]
