QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in care or support roles, training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of client support tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A caring attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client needs is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Provide safe support, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering positive relationships.
  • Understand various care plans and their purpose.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organised living space.
  • Assist with moving and handling when necessary, ensuring the safety of clients during transfers or mobility assistance.
  • Respond promptly to client needs and emergencies, utilising first aid knowledge when required.
  • Provide support to co workers.
