As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring participants receive safe, consistent, and high-quality support aligned with their individual goals and care plans. You will lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative environment while ensuring operational excellence and compliance within the NDIS framework. What you’ll be doing: Mentor, coach, and guide support workers to deliver safe, person-centred, and high-quality support in line with participant care plans and organisational standards. Assist with the onboarding and induction of new support workers, ensuring they are well-prepared, confident, and aligned with organisational values and participant needs. Develop and implement effective matching strategies to ensure support workers are paired with participants based on skills, personality, preferences, and care requirements to promote strong, consistent relationships. Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating team culture that encourages accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Provide ongoing supervision and performance support to ensure consistent service delivery and continuous improvement. Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager regarding workforce planning, service delivery, and budget considerations to ensure sustainable and compliant operations. Ensure support workers clearly understand, follow, and accurately implement participant care plans and risk management strategies. Understand, apply, and contribute to the development and refinement of organisational policies, procedures, and compliance processes. Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders, including participants, families, and allied health professionals, to ensure coordinated and consistent support. Support rostering processes by allocating shifts promptly and accurately in alignment with service agreements, participant goals, and care delivery requirements. Participate in an on-call roster once per month to ensure continuity of care and timely response to urgent matters. What you’ll bring: A genuine passion for supporting people and responding to individual needs with empathy, professionalism, and integrity. Proven experience in an NDIS Team Leader role within the disability or community services sector. Strong understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme framework and industry standards. Experience in direct support work and leading or coordinating teams (highly regarded). High-level understanding of the SCHADS Award and its practical application in workforce management. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team toward achieving organisational goals and high standards of customer service. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. What we would like you to have: Authorised to work in South Australia. Valid Driver License An understanding of the NDIS, disability, and community services sector. Certificate III Individual Support/Disability/HR or studying towards the qualification will be highly regarded for these positions. Have experience in coordinating a team in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
