  • Minchinbury and Glenmore Park NSW 
  • Must be happy to do some personal care
  • Individual Supports (1 on 1 and 1 on 3 ratio) 
  • Must have Drivers Licence and Full Comprehensive Insurance.

Lifestyle Solutions provide innovative and flexible person-centered support for people living with a disability. Support Worker to assist a customer to become more independent, in their own home and in the community.

As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:

  • Mentoring and skill development – guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests/hobbies
  • Coaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social skills
  • Administering medication and adherence to individual support plans
  • Completing clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reports
  • Providing personal care such as toileting, showering, feeding and dressing when required
  • Helping customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities 
  • Personal care is a must, and must be comfortable and knowledgeable in doing so. 
  • Epilepsy management knowledge is essential. 
  • Community Access will also be a requirement at certain times.
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, mood disorders).  
  • Understanding of mental health crisis management. 
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, record keeping, scanning, printing).

  • Be willing to be work a variety of shifts which includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekends
  • Versatile communication skills including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customers
  • Current driver’s license (mandatory requirement)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar, would be advantageous
  • Be compassionate, reliable and punctual
