Job Purpose
The Therapeutic Family Supports worker ensures respite services are in place for families as needed.
Therapeutic Foster Caregiving is a family-oriented, culturally safe, temporary placement program designed to assist children dealing with complex trauma-related care needs. This intensive, accredited service features a Therapeutic Caregiver as the main agent of change, collaborating with a Therapeutic Team to deliver personalized, trauma-informed support, predominantly to children aged 13 to 17. However, this model can also cater to younger children with complex care requirements. Therapeutic homes are licensed to accommodate up to 2 beds.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge and experience with indigenous culture
  • Experience working with indigenous children and youth in care is essential
  • At least 3 years of experience working with youth is essential
  • Undergraduate degree and/or diploma in Human Services
  • At least 2 years of experience in a management position
