The Support Worker will help promote independence, encourage participation in community life, and monitor changes in individuals’ needs or well-being. The role includes accurate record-keeping, safeguarding responsibilities, and clear communication with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families. The Support Worker is expected to follow organizational policies, attend training, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.Qualifications Experience in support worker or care roles, with a strong understanding of person-centered care and professional boundaries.
  • Interpersonal skills and communication abilities to build trust, listen effectively, and interact respectfully with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices, confidentiality, and reporting procedures to maintain safety and protect vulnerable individuals.
  • Basic technical support and digital literacy skills to use electronic care systems, record information accurately, and follow digital care processes.
  • Relevant care-related training or qualifications (e.g., Health and Social Care certification) are beneficial; willingness to undertake ongoing training is essential.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including potential evenings and weekends, and to manage time and tasks effectively in a busy care environment.
  • Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles and a commitment to non-discriminatory, person-centered practice.
  • Right to work in the UK and ability to meet any required background checks (such as DBS) for working with vulnerable individuals.
