OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those you assist by offering personal care, companionship, and practical support tailored to their individual needs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in senior care, childcare, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dementia care principles is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Understanding of basic meal preparation techniques suitable for various dietary requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings and weekends.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in health or social care are desirable but not mandatory.

  • Help with daily living activities in both home care and assisted living environments.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.
