Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Transition Houses, the Support Worker provides support to women who have experiences intimate partner violence and who are living in a second stage transition house.

PAY RATE: $28.05

• Providing the following to residents of the second stage program and to ex-residents:
• Orientation
• Emotional Support
• Safety Planning
• Advocacy with government and community agencies
• Court accompaniment
• Assistance to apply for long term subsidized housing
• Information and Referrals
• Responding to emergencies during shift
• Organizing and facilitating resident events and celebrations including:
• Shopping
• Cooking
• Selecting and wrapping gifts
• Hosting
• Clean up
• Managing donations
• Receiving donations and organizing the donation room
• Fairly distributing donations
• Working collaboratively with Fund Development Team to thank donors
• Other duties as required
