Description

We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our growing team, providing high-quality care and support to individuals across a range of care settings in Edinburgh.
This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of UK-based care experience, looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of others. Our clients include older adults, individuals with dementia or mental health needs, and those requiring support with daily living – whether in their own homes, day centres, or residential/nursing care environments.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 1 year’s UK-based care experience – essential
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Care at Home
- Day Centres
- Nursing or Residential Homes
- Mental Health Settings
Comfortable with delivering personal care and supporting with medication administration
Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build trust and rapport
Confident working independently and as part of a wider care team
Good transport links or access to own transport – preferred
Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s support, and mental health awareness is highly desirable
Manual handling and basic first aid knowledge advantageous
A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential (depending on role/location)

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support clients with meal preparation, medication administration, and daily routines.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including use of hoists or mobility aids.
  • Drive or accompany clients to appointments, social activities, or errands (if applicable).
  • Deliver care within mental health, dementia, and elderly care settings.
  • Promote independence while maintaining dignity, safety, and comfort at all times.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance mental and physical wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment through light housekeeping duties.
