Your part in our UnitingCare team Work in partnership with the person being supported, their family and informal support networks, to attain the hopes and aspirations they have established for their lives Provide support to people in their everyday living situations, including personal care as identified, with an emphasis on choice, enhancing quality of life Participate in the development, implementation and review of individual plans that focus on the life hopes and aspirations of people Enable people to attain personal autonomy over their own lives and the services which they receive Recognise and uphold the right to respect, privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the person being supported and their family What makes a difference for us? Able to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent support to clients and co-workers Being flexible (able to work varied hours and days) and reliable to meet the needs of the people we support Able to effectively communicate in spoken and written English Experience working in the Disability, Aged and Community sector is ideal but not essential – as long as you have positive attitude and a willingness to learn A current NDIS Worker Screening check and Blue Card – don’t worry if you don’t have one, as we can help you apply prior to employment Open Drivers License; and Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (required before you start) Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and therefore may result in the role closing early if the right applicant is found.
