Supportive Housing Custodian Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Department  At Father Joe’s Villages, we are committed to creating responsive, collaborative solutions that strengthen our programs and support the communities we serve. The Permanent Supportive Housing Department focuses on providing safe, healthy living environments while supporting residents in achieving stability, health, and life skills necessary for independent living. The Role  The Supportive Housing Custodian provides custodial services to enhance case management and client support by maintaining health and safety standards in client units. This position primarily supports tenants managed by FJV, with occasional assistance for tenants managed by other providers at the property. Your Role in Supporting Clients  * Develop and facilitate activities that help clients maintain cleanliness and health standards in their units, adjusting approaches to the needs and abilities of participants. Activities may include one-on-one, small group, and large group sessions. * Assist with deep cleaning of client units, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, vacuuming, and washing surfaces. * Record and communicate relevant client information with team members, including case notes, progress updates, and administrative tasks as directed. Document client participation in CStar database. * Support clients in learning life skills, including preparation for pest control treatment. * Collaborate with Tenant Services Coordinators to plan monthly calendars and disseminate information through bulletin boards, newsletters, etc. * Participate in Multi-disciplinary Approach to Services (MAS) meetings and provide updates on client progress. * Apply sanitation methods that protect public health and reduce the spread of disease, pests, and other hazards. * Complete required trainings and follow organizational policies and procedures. * Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals. Desirable Candidate Profile  Minimum Requirements * High School Diploma or GED. * At least 6 months of experience working with underserved populations and/or prior case management experience. * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office. * A valid driver’s license is preferred to support occasional travel between locations. * Ability to participate in annual Tuberculosis screening and other health screenings as required (reasonable accommodations may be considered). Key Competencies and Experience * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with vulnerable populations respectfully. * Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. * Effective organizational skills to plan and track activities and schedules. * Team collaboration and communication skills, including documenting client interactions accurately. * Adaptability and willingness to perform a variety of custodial and client support tasks. Work Schedule  This is a full-time position, typically 40 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday. Work hours may vary slightly based on program and departmental needs. Compensation & Benefits  Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The anticipated starting pay range for this role is $20.27 to $23.31 per hour.
