JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supported Living Manager to oversee the daily operations of our supported living program. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met in a safe and nurturing environment. The Supported Living Manager will lead a team of caregivers, develop care plans, and foster a positive living experience for residents.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in group homes or assisted living facilities is preferred.
  • Background in home & community care is advantageous.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Familiarity with caregiving practices including patient monitoring, and meal preparation.
  • Knowledge of social work principles or long-term care experience is beneficial.
  • A commitment to providing compassionate patient care while respecting the dignity of each resident. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for enhancing the lives of those we serve. Must have
BC Drivers license, clean criminal background, first aid, food safe, safe and reliable vehicle.
Knowledge/background in both word and excel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.37-$37.54 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train staff in providing direct support to residents, ensuring adherence to care plans and individual needs.
  • Coordinate daily activities and schedules for residents, promoting engagement and independence.
  • Monitor the health and well-being of residents through regular patient observation and vital sign checks.
  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
  • Work with frontline staff to ensure the best possible care is being given.
