QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job repetitively.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
• Must have a reasonable understanding of the integral components of the product and process.
• Strong communication skills.
• Will be working with hands 100% of the time.
• Strong eye-hand coordination is a plus.
• Experience with power tools is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Required to regularly stand and walk
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell
• Regularly required to assist and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently required to assist and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Vision requirements include close vision and distance vision

STARTING RATE IS $17.80/HR WITH A $1.10/HR INCREASE ONCE FULLY TRAINED AND MEETING QUALITY AND QUOTA EXPECTATIONS. THE POSITION IS BASED ON A TIERED PAY SCALE WITH INCREASED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES FOR EACH TIER ASSOCIATED WITH AN INCREASE IN WAGE.

JOB PURPOSE

Prep and assemble parts for surfboard production and assemble foam blanks with all parts

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cut fiberglass for fin boxes
• Punch fin boxes out on dye press
• Apply fiber glass graphics and fin boxes to foam blank
• Cut glass on CNC machine
• Cut lantosoric on Eastman
• Maintain cleanliness of work area
• Wear assigned and applicable personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work safely
• Other duties may be assigned
