The Surgical Coordinator is committed to guiding the patient through the surgical process in a warm and comforting manner. They support the patient journey throughout the surgical process, from education, scheduling surgical and pre/post-operative visits, and assisting the patients while preparing for surgical treatments.   No experience necessary – Willing to train the right person!   Requirements: * Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (preferably ophthalmology) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to interact with patients and employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to multi-task and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Education and Experience: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Minimum of one year of experience in similar role preferred * COA or COT certification is preferred

The Surgery Coordinator guides patients through the surgical process, providing education and comfort. Responsibilities include scheduling surgical and pre/post-operative visits and assisting patients with surgical preparations.
