Surgery Procedural Scheduler for Providence Portland Medical Center. Work hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm. The Specialty Surgery Scheduling is accountable for scheduling various complex Surgical and Medical procedures by obtaining appropriate surgical procedure, specialized equipment, and other specialized resources, implants and current/historical medical information (i.e., ICD10 Coding, Medical History, including allergies and Patient Demographic Profile). Complexity of this position is evidenced by the use of simple and complex medical terminology and enterprise scheduling protocols. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Intermediate Medical Terminology and Physical Anatomy coursework. Or equivalent educ/experience. 3 years Medical office or hospital experience in surgery field. Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience.
