Interventional pain management practice in Austin, Kyle, San Marcos, and Dripping Springs TX seeks a talented Surgery Scheduler. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler to join our medical team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating surgical appointments, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and communicated effectively between patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting and possess strong administrative skills to facilitate smooth scheduling processes.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in medical office management or a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Medicare processes and medical coding is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in 10 key typing to efficiently manage data entry tasks.
  • Previous experience in a dental office setting may be beneficial but not required.
  • Strong understanding of office management practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.

  • Schedule surgical procedures by coordinating with surgeons, patients, and other medical staff.
  • Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient data.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic or Meditech for scheduling and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and appointment confirmations.
  • Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls and addressing patient inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of scheduled surgeries and follow up on any changes or cancellations.
  • Assist in the management of office operations to ensure a smooth workflow within the surgical department.
