We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Colon & Rectal Surgery Scheduler to join our team. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, scheduling office visits, procedures, and surgeries. You will play a critical role in the patient experience and contribute to the overall success of our practice.  * This position is Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No evenings or weekends! * The hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00. Pay is based on years of relevant experience. Responsibilities * Responsible for scheduling Colon & Rectal clinic visits, procedures, and surgeries for Colon & Rectal Surgery physicians * Obtains prior-authorization from insurance companies for pending surgeries * Maintain the Colon & Rectal registry and patient follow-up systems * Contacts patients to confirm outpatient procedure appointments for assigned providers * Communicate with patients as well as out-patient facility contacts * Answer incoming phone calls and follows up on voicemail messages * Completes prep instructions, address envelopes and mails prep as requested * Complies with procedures and policies to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA standards * Performs other related duties as assigned Requirement & Skills * High school diploma or equivalent * Minimum of 1-2 years experience in medical appointment scheduling (surgery scheduling preferred) * Experience with insurances preferred including prior authorizations * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills * Ability to show initiative, organization, and judgement  Voyage Healthcare offers the following benefits: * Supportive, collaborative, and welcoming work environment where your contributions are valued * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Paid Holidays + Birthday Floating Holiday * Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance * Long Term Disability Insurance (LTD) * Short-Term Disability Insurance (STD) * Company Paid Life Insurance * Retirement Benefits with 401(k) Match * Education Assistance * Employee Assistance Program (EAP)   Voyage Healthcare is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.  Applicants are considered for employment based on their education, training, experience, and aptitude for the position.  EOE/AA
