(Increases with tenure) 7 paid holidays + 2 floating holidays Duties: Triages orders based on scheduling criteria provided by the physician Verifies necessity of insurance authorization or pre-determination based on cpt codes provided by physician Ensures patient has proper medical clearance prior to procedure in collaboration with clinical team Coordinate appointment with facility and fax orders with appropriate medical records Schedule appointment in EMR Completes accurate documentation of all scheduling notes in EMR Provide information to patient regarding any specific instructions before testing, such as fasting on the night before testing, taking a specific medication, or temporarily stopping medications to ensure they don’t interfere with results Requirements High School diploma or equivalent is required Surgery Scheduling experience strongly preferred Six - twelve months of appointment scheduling experience in a healthcare setting is preferred Basic understanding of medical terminology
