Description Middle Tennessee Oral and Implant Surgery is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Surgical Assistant to join our team in delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Assist the Oral Surgeon during a variety of surgical and clinical procedures. Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready for use. Capture high-quality, diagnostic dental x-rays. Accurately record and review patient medical and dental histories. Maintain strict infection control protocols and contribute to a safe, clean clinical environment. Support patients before, during, and after their procedures to ensure comfort and confidence. Provide clear, thorough post-operative care instructions. Record doctor notes, charting, and patient vital signs during surgery and consultations. Utilize practice management software for documentation and administrative tasks. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards. Be adaptable and willing to cross-train in front office operations as needed. Requirements Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program and active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required. Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience, preferably in oral surgery. Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional demeanor, dependable work ethic, and patient-centered attitude. Strong computer proficiency and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Punctual, detail-oriented, and motivated to continue learning and developing skills. High school diploma or equivalent required.
