This role is essential to the success of our surgical team and daily operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Support the Oral Surgeon throughout a wide range of oral and maxillofacial procedures. Set up and break down treatment rooms in accordance with clinical protocols and safety guidelines. Ensure proper sterilization, organization, and readiness of instruments and equipment. Take accurate, diagnostic dental x-rays and scans as needed. Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and answer questions to support recovery. Document patient information, treatment details, and clinical notes accurately. Assist with administrative and computer-based tasks using dental software systems. Safeguard patient information and comply with HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Requirements Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program with a Certification or Associate Degree required. Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required. Two or more years of dental assisting experience strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Comfortable using computers and dental software for daily tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional demeanor with a dependable, patient-centered approach. Highly organized, punctual, and attentive to detail. Eagerness to continue learning and grow within the role. Willingness to cross-train and support front office functions when needed.
